Privacy and Data-Rights Requests
You can request correction, deletion of eligible information, or a copy of your information by emailing WithJia support. Jia cannot delete information from a conversation. Memory is part of how Jia works and cannot be turned off while you keep chatting.
1. Purpose of this page
This page explains the request process and our 30-day commitments for eligible-data deletion and data copies. You may also have additional rights under applicable privacy law. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
2. How to submit a privacy or data-rights request
Email support@withjia.com with the subject “Privacy or data-rights request.” Please describe what you are asking for (for example, a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion) and include the WhatsApp number associated with your account so we can locate it.
3. How we verify requests
To protect your information, we verify requests using the WhatsApp number associated with your account. We may ask you to confirm the request from that number, or to provide additional information reasonable to establish your identity.
4. Deletion and retained information
We begin removing eligible information when you request deletion and complete removal from our systems, including backups, within 30 days. Information awaiting deletion is not used or shared in the meantime. Some information may remain temporarily in backups during that process, or where retention is required or permitted. This retention exception is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. A note about Jia's memory
WithJia is built around persistent conversational memory: Jia can retain relevant details from your conversations so future conversations feel continuous and personalized. WithJia does not offer an off-the-record mode or a control to turn memory off while chatting. You can request deletion of eligible memories, recordings, and other old data through support, with the 30-day commitment and retention exception above. Deleting your WhatsApp chat or removing a remembered item does not automatically delete every related copy held by Jia. Call recordings are automatically deleted after 14 days; that period does not apply to all transcripts or memories.
6. Timeframes
Eligible-data deletion is completed within 30 days of the request, subject to the stated retention exception. If you request a copy of your information, you will receive it within 30 days. We also comply with any shorter period required by applicable law.
7. How completion is communicated
We will confirm by email or WhatsApp once your verified request has been processed.
